As youall remember, I had an incident where a young lady with no insurance decided to go west on a north-south busy stretch of street durning rush hour. Thank goodness I had un-insured motorist...anyway, have had the car at the new chevy/corvette dealership for a while now and have a few pictures of the work in process...they decided to repair the quarterpanel since the inner pillar and door jam wasn't busted up like we feared.
Took these the other day...its coming along slowly, which in this case; is a good thing.
still scary to see her all apart like that
Couldn't see the inner wheel well yet..will try to get a pic of it...will also post pictures after she gets painted.
Nice looking repair so far. The details will show when the paint is on.
Why did they remove the rear bumper if they are going to blend the paint a few inches in front of the bumper area?
Re:82MDVette...
Why did they remove the rear bumper if they ???
They are putting on a new rear tail section. Insurance company said do it. I guess its OK since they're paying for it.
They will be painting the 1/4, tail, door and blending the rest...we'll see how good of a job their computer does when they finish up.
I'll keep you posted.
Damn, I wish I was that lucky. Had a wreck wih my GMC Denali over the Summer going to my Buddy's Funeral (my fault, head was foggy). The entire front end was destroyed. Insurance company replaced hood, bumper, grill, both headlights, radiator and support, but only one turn signal. Looks like poop with the hazed lense. I'm going to attempt and brighten it up with the buffing wheel and plastic rouge.
Looks great. Let me know how the blending goes.
