My first C3 engine swap!!
The engine I stuck in(owner supplied) has some 305 head on it with screw in studs and guidplates, I know nothing else about the engine other than that and the stuff I put on it. I added an Edelbrock Performer intake and some chrome valvecovers and air cleaner assembly. Before I installed the used intake I had the owner sandblast it and then I washed it and sprayed on some clearcoat, made it look like new again!
Anyhow here are some before and after shots.
Original engine(I checked!):

The original engine was GREASY!!!
New engine:

The chrome parts were cheap units I picked up at the swap meet saturday. The M/T Valvecovers that came with the "new" engine would not allow me to install the alternator belt because they were too tall.
In all the engine runs pretty well and the owner is super happy. I should have spent a little more time on some details but he got what he paid for which is what we agreed on doing while swapping the engine.
I would like to take this chance to thank the people here on this board for answering my questions when it came to getting everything rounded up for this swap, thanks guys!!
