Default Summit Racing Equipment.....WOW!!

Last night (Wednesday night) around 8:00, I was reading, in this forum, about a Lokar carb bracket for a Holley. I decided I needed to get one, so I jumped over to the Summit Racing website, found it, and ordered it...along with 4 other items I really "needed to have" (a carburetor jet tool, carburetor jets, and a Holley in-line fuel pressure guage). Now it's around 8:20....I wasn't in any rush, so I figured the order would be processed on Thursday and shipped Friday...and I would get it Tuesday of next week.

First thing this morning, I get an email from Summit stating the order was shipped last night (complete with UPS tracking number) and I would receive everything I ordered TOMMOROW ON FRIDAY!!!!

I'm wondering if they revamped their order processing system....because it used to be anything ordered after 3pm would be processed the following day. My hats off to Summit for a great job.

I have ordered quite alot from them, and have always been very happy with the service. They sent me some great freebies for my friends car show, too. Great company.

I've always found Summit Racing and Jegs excellent to deal with. I'd give the edge to Summit, but only because anything I order from them usually arrives a day faster than Jegs...that may be more due to my living in a closer shipping area to their distribution center, I don't know.

Either way...they're both great to deal with. They each carry much the same products, but each also carries a few things the other doesn't.

they started out with a showroom about 50' x 50' a long time ago. they are about 2 hrs from me in ohio, and if you can get a chance to stop in their store now...pack a lunch it's unbelievable. i normally get stuff the next day. can't beat their prices, service or shipping. they got it all going for them!

Most of you are internet website customers. I think that you will agree that, in the battle for the consumer's internet dollars, the wars will be won not on inventory but on service. Companies like Summit not only send it fast, but also recognize that the service doesn't stop there. The successful companies long-term will be the ones who exceed the customer's expectations regarding returns and complaints.

Every year I order more and more items through the internet, much of it commercial. I am seeing a trend toward fast delivery and customer-friendly returns. I believe this will continue to improve as the good ones grow and the companies who show slow service disappear.

There is BIG money to be made in this country through the internet and the companies who recognize the value in great service will benefit the most.

Summit is 30 minutes from me, for awhile they smiled like chesher cats every time I walked in the door as I had spent a couple grand there.
Great service and selection.

Summit truly kicks major a$$! My friend ordered an SLP catback for his Camaro at 7am monday morning, and it was at his house tuesday evening. I actually went there to buy my carb, and it was incredible. It blew my dad's mind, who thinks that the aftermarket is "evil". He had no idea anything like that even existed. I hope they can keep up the great customer service and selection.

I'll put my .02 in too. I've been real happy with Summit, plus the GA warehouse is a couple of hours from me. I, like BondoBoy got something on a Saturday when I had just asked for standard shipping. I had ordered a part on a Friday afternoon about 5 PM figuring it would come on Monday. Then Saturday morning I had the old part fail as I was getting ready for a show. I drove to Summit, bought the part there and they had told me the other one had just shipped so I couldn't cancel that order.

When I got back to the house, the part was on the front doorstep! They had shipped it the night before. If I had checked my E-mail before I left the house, I wouldn't have made the trip. Double DA on me.

Plus, if I had time, I probably would have spent a few hours at their store, and bought a whole bunch more stuff.

Summit = service.

I look at their website all the time for stuff to buy.
They have alot more than whats in the catolog.
I have always ordered from them, sometimes I have to send some stuff back and they are OK with that, then I order more stuff in a few days!!!
Jegs pisses me off because they charge me with a delivery surcharge because Im not a buisness, and I live on the busiest street in town!!!!

STRAIGHT UP! I would marry summit if i could . I ordered my motive pressure bleeder from them at 11:30 at night. It arrived from ohio the following afternoon (i live in ca). I freaking love them. To be honest, recent experience in ordering from other online vendors has taught me a lesson. Don't order anything from anywhere else if you can get it from summit. Plus my summit speed card helps! I just use that for all my orders and pay it when i get the bill.
