I was looking at the Wilcox site and noticed they have a complete interior kit for $995. Includes carpet, door panels and the seats/seat foams.. It is the vinyl leather like kit. Is this is a good deal? Is it worth spending the extra money on the leather? Is Wilcox a good place to deal with?
You won't find finer people out there. Ernie the owner will bend over backwards for you. When I need something I check Wilcox first. Purchased my leather seat covers from Wilcox for my '73 Coupe. They look exactly like factory originals.
Never had any problems with them. They seem to really care about satisfaction here. I am doing my seats right now, but I chose to stay with the original vinyl. You won't be disappointed.
Thanks for the info! So what is the difference between the leather and the like leather? Is it worth the extra bucks for the leather? I've never been a fan of leather myself. I think the vinyl would hold up better.. I'm not looking for show quality here. I intend to drive this car ever day, when I'm not on the V-Rod...
I have a 74' MGB that is show quality, and will be putting leather in it. But I don't intend to drive it as much... It's gonna be a show car, not a garage queen, but certainly going to shows..
I just want the interior to look decent. The sets now, or ok, but weathered, and of course the drive seat has some rips in it.

Mia, What year Corvette do you own and drive? Being you never filled out your profile we have no idea what car you are talking about. Myself I rather post to someone who has their profile filled out so I could better answer their question at times. We are not mind readers on this forum. Let us know what you have.
I just had an interior made up by the folks at Wilcox. Let me say they were fantastic. I have an 80 L82 that I painted stock 1972 red, ask for a custom color interior of oyster and red seats and door pannels along with 72 red carpet in 80 pattern along with matching shifter boot. Tommy at Wilcox never even flinched, in fact he sent me samples of the colors to ensure that they were what I wanted, emailed me to confirm that every detail was to my desire. from me. Semper Fi Bob

It's a 1979. Actually I did fill it out, along with the signature.. Neither of which seem to be working... Had some trouble signing up too... Pretty sad considering I own an ISP..

Another for Willcox. A lot of my car come from them, especially the interior.
As for leather vs. leather-like covers ... you can visually tell a difference, but they're pretty close. Like you, I was building a driver, not a show car, so I went vinyl and have never regretted it.
I put the equivalent to the factory leather covers on my '73 ordered from Wilcox just a couple of years ago. Actually the sides are vinyl but the main area in the center section of the seat is leather. Here is a picture of mine.
I just ordered replacement door panels for my 82. Willcox was significantly cheaper than the other vendors (Mid America) for the same product. I'm planning on ordering the leather mounted seat covers also. They seem to have the best prices and good quality!
Tommy, Ernie, and Joe are absolutely the best, in my experience! They are Vette Dudes, ask the right questions, and have pretty much the best prices. Highly recommend Willcox!!
Many orders placed from Wilcox and have always exierenced great service and products. I am very pleased with the Leatherlike covers on my 72. Real leather arm rest in pic. Pretty close huh?
Say...if you ever see a Millie Miglia 72 with an L-88 hood cruising downtown Lake Geneva...wave to me! I go there often. As a matter of fact...I'll be there next weekend!
