I had black valve covers with the chevy logo, but they began to wear on me, so I changed them to a polished alum. I then changed the single air cleaner for a little old school dual rounds. I would always have to tell people that there are two carbs under the cleaner. Now I don't and the car runs much better with the two singles. I also changed the performance distributor HEI unit for a MSD and spark box. It is much easier to adjust the timimg now with a smaller distributor.
I also fit new weatherstripping on the doors and the hardtop. I took the convertible top off the car so I can paint the bows and put a new "cloth" top on it this winter.
Very nicely done! What hood is that carb setup fitting under. I have thought of doing the same with my '80 if I don't go with the LS1.
I believe it is a stock 1973-76 medium rise. It has the grill in back and it covers the wipers so the door is removed. It came on the car when I bought it.
It is a tight fit, but it fits.
Rest of set up is-
2 500 cfm edlebrock thunder series
Dual qual air gap edlebrock intake
Here is a pic of the hood

Thanks for the info. I think that set up may fit under the stock '80 hood. Any one know if it will?

That is a very nice Corvette
I have seen post speaking there is no way an air gap will fit, let alone a dual quad air gap. Mine fits just fine. I have also seen post stating that a 10" normal air cleaner will not fit in some cases.
I went on Edlebrocks site and got all the measurements for each intake and took my best guess. It is not the back of air cleaner that will hit the hood, but the front. I had to cut the air cleaner with the single air cleaner set from Edlebrock, but it worked. I found the two inch singles with no rise from the carb and they work perfect. The bottoms and filters are Mr. Gasket and I switch out the tops with another brand.
I hate to say it, but do it for the performance and be prepared to buy a hood if neccessary or fabricate or mix and match you own air cleaner.

I do know that my '80 hood has a little less clearance than the hood you are running. I don't mind changing the hood; I would just like to keep it as flat as possible. Low profile Alot of value from your experiance. Thanks.

No worries. I am a DIY kinda man. I did my engine bay from all the info I gathered on this site + my experience.
Take a look at the difference of the three cleaner heights and you will see about 2"-4" difference between the original height, cut, and new.
New
Cut (cut to much)
Orginal height
