Does anyone know where I can get a plastic oil drip tray for under my car? I have one Im working on and would like to keep something under it until I am finished with it.

Thanks

I checked a few online catalogs but found nothing specific like you asked for. Have you thought about just making your own? Maybe with an old shower curtain and a PVC tube frame?

I just use a couple of my wife's old cookie sheet pans and they sit on top of a large cardboard box flatened out. The cardboard absorbs the oil so there is very little cleanup required.

I use a rug made to catch oil & antifreeze has a plastic backing and a wool like mat. You can get them from pep-boys or auto-zone and they really catch a lot of oil and no mess. I replace it about every 2 years under $20.

I know it isn't plastic, but I saw recently a metal drip pan at Advanced Auto Parts. I think it was about $12.00.

I use a metal one from AutoZone...$8, lined it with newspaper.
Replace newspaper every 2 mos. BTW, my TH350 Trans leaks, with a professional rebuild and serveral trips back.

I used a washing machine tray. They are intended to prevent a leaky washing machine from ruining a house's flooring and frame.

Harbor Freight has a pan 24" x 18" about $15.

OK, don't tell my wife! She buys these storage containers, for stuff like Christmas decorations, clothes, shoes, etc....

Anyway the lids are perfect as a drip tray!

Default Supermaket shelf

G'day,
My brother-in-law used to have a supermarket and he replaced a lot of the old (slightly rusty) shelving, so I scored a couple. Turn 'em upside down and sprinkle with a half inch of "Kitty Litter" or similar. Works for me and about as cheap as you can get. They're long enough for the engine and trans and about 15" wide - perfect!

Regards from Down Under

Walmart, 25" x 47" Aluminum, $11. Buy 2 and you can cover the entire area under the car.
