Default 72 Lt1 ???

This looks pretty fishy.....numbers match...???....But might this be an LT1 with factory AC ?

The Black Book says that there were ~286 built with AC. 1972 was the only year that the LT-1 could be factory-ordered with AC.

goo find could be. But I would look close before buying, the system could have been added while the car was apart. If it is a real a/c car the red line on the tach would be lower than non a/c cars. I can't believe this guys not advertising the fact that it is a rare a/c car. It would help push the price through the roof.

It is the much more rare LT-"2" with aluminum heads.

Yep, "K" is base engine. The LT1 would have been an "L".

Also, did not see any mention of it being an LT1 in the ad.

Come on....what do you think. The guy has 93% feedback. Take your chances if you want but I don't ever want to see the thread of you getting ripped off.

Hmmm...centerbolt valve covers?!

Valve covers are off a 86L-90 C4 L98 (aluminum heads).

Gotta look at it from a "drivers" perspective not a numbers-matching perspective and make your decision that way. From the ad:

"Also it is a numbers matching car but when the machine work was done the block was decked and the stamped #'s on the pad were milled off, but the block # and date code are correct."

Looks like the add has been revised.

Nice enough looking car, but pretty expensive for a base 72 coupe.

Looks like the seller got hosed on the auction by a scumbag
Why would a seller of a high dollar auction allow a bidder with a negative 2% feedback history bid on his auction?

The winner has a history of bidding on Corvettes and not paying.... Ebay needs a serious policy overhaul
