I have a question about the headlight assembly for a 76. What is the part called that the headlight linkage attaches to? This is a mounting bracket that bolts up to the underside of the nose of the car. Any ideas?
The headlight assembly is mount in a headlight support bracket which has 2 bolts that attach to the nose reinforcement bracket in the front and 2 to the header bar in the rear. In think you are referring to to the header bar? It is bonded to the inside of the nose just forward of the hood opening. This is the one that the rivets begin showing through on a lot of cars (between the headlights and hood). Hope this helps.
