This is round 1 of painting. As with everything, there is a process to painting. Byron sealed, painted the blue, then cleared everything. This will allow us to lay the stripe out, spray the silver, and if there is any overspray on the blue, it can be wiped off without affecting the blue base. The rear end will then be cleared to burry the silver stripe. Everything will then be cut and buffed.
It's been quite the journey. Pretty proud of the skills Byron has taught me.
Enjoy.

Thanks guys. It turned out great, I couldn't be happier.
Tomorrow we spray the Baldwin motion stripe. I'll post pics in the next day or so.

As a matter of fact, with all the photos you took and the info you posted, you COULD write a book....or put a book together about "Building the Ultimate Corvette". With a cover photo of that car, you would sell a bunch of books!

No book guys... I have a career to focus on once this is finished!
The only reason it looks so good is because of everything Byron has taught me. I pretty much redid everything once I started apprenticing under him. That's why it has taken so long. This past week I took my vacation time to paint the vette...kind of sucks that I gave my annual summer vacation away with my friends, but it had to happen. Building a show car eats up ridiculous amounts of time. Especially the paint aspect of it.
I prepped the back of the car today for the stripe. Took the entire day.
