identify rear shock mount
I need to replace a shock mount, and beings there is a left and right(ok, I didn't know there was a l/r untill after the fact) after the cleaning up parts One needs replaced. What identifies the difference for left or right? One has a shoulder towards the strut rod shaft and one doesn't. If anyone knows, appreciate the help,Terry

The flat side goes down, so hold it with the part that goes through the strut rod pointed to the back of the car and the part that the shock goes over toward the center of the car. If the flat side is down, that's the side it goes on. You could also just look at the fork that sticks out from the trailing arm and see the flat is down and figure which way it turns to face toward the center of the car so the shock will mount.
