Doors same throughout the years?
Are the doors unchanged from 69-82? It appears that the '71 I am looking at has an issue right where the top of the door meets the rear pillar. It lines up fine but the door sticks out about a 1/2 inch. Looks like it could have come from another year car?

If only the top of the door sticks out then it needs to be shimmed. Shimming the door to go in or out is done by loosening the hinges from behind the kick panel and adding or subtracting shims. As these cars were hand fitted from the factory,if you take a door from one and put it on another most likely it wont fit without shimming. You can check behind the door panel for different color paint that may indicate a door swap. If the door is original, then someone may have removed it (to paint for example) and didnt put it back right.
