I changed mine when I completely rebuilt both my assemblies. But I cheated, I had both assemblies out on a work bench (still do) while I replaced my header panel. They weren't hard to get out or anything. I'd check close and see if the door bearing are tight while I was at it. One of mine was wore bad.

it's a straight forward job. only two problems i had in disassembling the headlights were the collars on the pivot bushings. had to heat them with a torch to loosen the set screws. several of the #8 screws that held the adjuster brackets and the headlight cups in place snapped off, even though i soaked every screw and bolt with blaster for a week before i tried to remove them. drilled them out and rethreaded them.
