I did mine with an air chisel and followed Lars' paper. These are no fun to do no matter how you do them though.

I drilled out the rubber with a hole saw, and then slid the sleeves out. Once off the shaft, the shells were pretty easy to tap out.

To much of a PIA. I took mine to a mechanic I knew. Dropped them off in the AM, picked them up in the PM with the new bushings installed.
Cost = 6 pack of beer
