Default Hidden surprises

Hey there Weekend Warriors,
I've been the proud owner of '76 Orange Flame L-82 for about six months and continue to uncover little treasures like:

-A TupperWare saleslady's business card-two actually-down in the shifter console.
-500 firecrackers/remnants- half of them blown-up leaving paper shreds everywhere- under the jack tray.
-And then there's this gem:

...Bubba let his sign slip down the window inside the door. He's probably still looking for his sign. I began hearing a startling metallic CLANK! when powering down the window, proceeded to investigate, and discovered the culprit.
Here's a question: I read ealier threads on cleaning the built-up goo, etc. from the window slides- mrvette had a nice post on this where he described his windows moving "like a guillotine". My PWs- like many others' I'm sure- are sluggish so I would love a blow-by-blow description on how to access that area. Removing the inside door panel is no sweat, but what next? Here's where I'm at:

Hope everyone's weekend is chock-full of beers, pigskin, and Vette-ing about wildly~

Unless your ready to take it all apart the only way I would think you could clean it is to take the inspection plate off and try to reach as many tracks with a rag as you can. Try it with the window in different positions. Then spray the white grease on the tracks and rollers, the kind that sticks and doesn't drip.

You couldn't have bent that any better with a press brake!

I found a for sale sign inside the door of my vette when I was going through the doors also. The previous owner of my vette had it for 12 years before I got it and he lived about 60 miles to the north of me. The for sale sign was from the owner before him and was from a town about 5 miles west from my house. Never did call the number on the for sale sign although I thought seriously about it several times.

I found a "period correct" joint (marijuana cigarette) that fell out from my driver's side dash in my 68 when I closed the door to gas up the car last year

No vetting today on Cape Cod. Winds over 80 mph later today and about 4 inches of rain
