tranny swap

how hard is it to find the parts and do a swap from an automatic to a manual in a 81 vette. the automatic that is in the car is burned up and i would like a manual anyways

Easy and all parts are available. Just depends on how much money you would like to spend. Do a quick search, Lots of data including a some nice write-ups with pictures.
