Not my cup 'o tea brother, that's for sure!

And to think, a nice '77 had to bite the dust to help with that.

Why? Excalibur bought the parts straight from GM. I really doubt they were ever complete cars. It's not like someone buying an old 'Vette and rebodying it - these were factory jobs in '77.

Didn't we do this two weeks ago?

The text of the sale listing in the first post clearly states that it was factory-built, not a kit car.

And the text that you quoted clearly has nothing to do with your post.

I really don't care who built it although I knew, I read it before I posted.

PLease if you can find it in your heart to, forgive me for posting a dupe.

What dupe? The text of the first post says it was a factory-built conversion. There was likely never a complete 77 to "bite the dust" for this car to exist. My guess is that the manufacturer probably bought just the components they needed from GM - why would GM send front and rear clips that they know are going to be yanked off?

The thread was the recent one dealing with a similar car - and the "why would someone hack up a Corvette like that" comments.

Chill.

What dupe? The thread was the recent one dealing with a similar car (from a different manufacturer), and the "why would someone hack up a Corvette like that" comments. My original post wasn't in response to your post, it was a response to seventysixvette's comment, which echoed the comments made towards the car in the other thread. These were factory built from GM components. They weren't kits that required the "hacking" of a "perfectly good" Corvette. Chill.
