Default 68 Center Console Emblem Replacement

Hi, all...my 68 needs a new center console emblem (crossflags). I've purchased and received the part, but it looks like the original is riveted on. Has anyone replaced theirs? Do you have to drill the old one out? I was expecting a couple of small screws, not what I got.

I replaced mine but (maybe someone can tell me) I'm not sure if the original one was colored or not. Who knows? Anyway, yes, originally they are riveted. You need to drill out the old one. Now the new one...some carefully glue them on or carefully expand the studs on the new one to make it stick. Someone once told me to turn a drill bit upside down to expand it. Good Luck, and stay safe, John

Used expoxy to hold it on. Set the emblem on and put the epoxy on the backside of the console plate

Original is colored, my colors were worn so i had an artist repaint mine instead of replacing it.
