I bought a pair of these for my '72, and they were touted as having the Hinge pillar attached. They did, but I can't find anyplace in the AIM that explains exactly where that piece goes. I know where the pillar post pieces go; how about the hinge pieces? And does anyone know what the piece of weatherstrip is called that is above the back of the doors, the back edge of the window nests against it when it is closed. Mine need replaced as they are hard and brittle. Thanks

There's another post about door jams. There's some good pics showing where the hinge pillar goes.
The rear peice is called Door glass rear weather strip. Usually around 32 bucks for the pair.
70 -71 have the extension - 72 does not have that hinged piece.
It is also a major PIA to put on, and with exception of CRC (corvette rubber corp) weatherstrips - the material is way to hard and fat and the door wiil not close at all, makes it push away from the frame area.
Do not purcase "soft seal" kits or individual strip -- they STINK!
