baldwin motion story
The story on this car is the owner bought this car in either 69 or early 70 and brought it to town, I don't know if he bought it from B/M or what but he has papers from baldwin motion car lot in New York where the car came from. he had it painted all black because they thought the yellow paint was ugly.
Anyway his wife was the cheerleader coach at the high school and she always paraded the girls around town in it after practice.
Years later they parked it in the basement of a body shop, until their kids got old enough to drive, so they got it all fixed up and decided to paint it back original, but the girl didn't want it, so it was parked for awhile then the son drove it but hated it so he hit a telephone pole so hard it knocked the body off the frame and now sits in the same spot in the body shop basement as it did years ago, its really tore up , I saw it a few years ago.
I think its the real deal because of how long its been around here and the owners just used it as a normal car and never thought of how much it is worth.
They wouldn't sell it even now, they don't need the money.
Enjoy:
Look for a Torker intake, 3 bbl carb, fly eye air cleaner, Cal Custom/Ansen eelco valve covers, Mallory ignition and dist. Flex-lite fan and traction bar. If any of that is there, it's a possibility.
Paperwork should be Baldwin Chevrolet and seperate invoice from Motion (not 100% on this). You will find MUCH more knowledgable people at http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/post...0/Board/motion
Sad to hear a bb vert collecting dust no matter what it is.
