Pulled The Trailing Arms
I decided it was time to pull the trailing arms and replace bushings and the rear bearings. I've never done this before. From what I have read here, I was expecting the worst. I did the left side yesterday. Everything came apart ok. A friend suggested using an air hammer to knock the main TA bolt out. It took about 20 minutes of pounding and sure enough, it pushed through. Tonight I did the right side. I hit the main bolt with the air hammer and it poped out in about a minute. 
I did use plenty of PB Blaster on everything. That's some good stuff.

I'm going to do mine after Thanksgiving. I'm sending mine out for new seals and bearing. $200.00 for each. I wish I knew how to do it, but by the time I buy all the parts and tools I'm at $300.00. so for the extra $100.00 I'm sending them out. I ordered Offset T/A's from Vansteel

I'll take some pics if I can. A guy in our Vette club is doing the rebuild. I would like to be there when he does them but I'm not sure if I will have the time to hang out when he is working on them. I also wanted to do them myself but it didn't make much sense to buy the tools and then only use them once.

Here is a thread I started a while back. I rebuilt my trailing arms last weekend - I set the endplay on one trailing arm to .0015'' and the endplay on the other trailing arm to .002. Its one of the last posts on the thread, I did as good a job as any professional can do and both trailing arms have a have a lifetime warranty becasue I built them!
