Default Staining vinyl seats

Does anyone have experience in staining vinyl seats ?
My car has black interior. I may buy a pair of red vinyl seats. I was wondering if they could be stained to match my balck interior.

you can, but with black as common as it is, I wouldn't bother.

Walmart sells vinyl dye in in spray cans in the automotive section.
Also, Autozone, O'reileys, advance, etc sell the spray cans and any automotive paint supply shop sells it by quart and will sell you a disposable aerosol sprayer to apply it with.
I would not recommend a complete light to dark or dark to light color change on high wear/contact areas such as the steering wheel and seats.
It wont come off on your clothes, but areas of the seat that "crease" will loose some of the dye and it will show through.
