You will need a long Phillips drive screw driver. It's a large head too if I remember right. Pull the screws out and remove the pulls.
The screw length will be over an inch. Look up inside with a flashlight and you will see the screw holes where the screws go. make sure they are proper sized and not knarled up.
Reinstall the pull, with the screws out, and starting with the top, start the screw. It's hard to start sometimes, and you'll need to go in at an upward angle. Once it's started, do the same with the lower screw.
Because the screws are so long, it takes a while to get them fastened properly, and this is probably where the previous installer stopped.
Be very careful you keep the head square with the driver so you don't strip the screw head. Slow steady turns, and continue until the screw and pull are hard up against the panel.
Once you get one in you'll see how they are supposed to fit.
I didn't even think of being on the wrong door. Hard to tell from that angle. It still looks right though. The upper screw hole is aft of the handle in relation to front and back. In the pic you can see the door handle forward indicating which way is back, and the upper screw hole doe sin fact seem to be facing aft of that.
It's the right handle. If they are replacement door panels the holes are not cut out. The vinyl and the foam needs to be trimmed away so the handle will sit flush to the back of the panel. Use a small razor knife and trim the vinyal and pull out the foam till you see the back panel of the door pad. It looks like this was not done.
