I agree that would be a challenge.

dont go the route of "assembled car", get a vin# with a title.
I built my cobra replicar, the paperwork and title part is a royal pain, but cobras have no choice, atleast with a vette you can get an existing title.

Heck just buy a Nova and restamp it with corvette numbers and be done with it, and set it on that frame, some on here thinks it would be OK.

I would love to hear an explanation of this comment.

There are a lot of things I wouldn't be able to do myself on this for sure, simply due to limited space, tools, manpower, etc. This is probably one of them. Fortunately there are two full service restoration shops within 45 minutes of where I live that between them I'm sure can do everything I can't, so I imagine I'd be spending some money there too.

My main goal here is to have a "new" C3 ... I'm not really concerned with whether it's titled as a Corvette or not. I already own a fully restored 68, but I will always see it as a 40 year old car that should be cared for more than it's driven. That's just how I am about the chrome-bumper vettes ... I'd like to have a "new car" with some of the more modern upgrades while still looking exactly like the 68-72 from the outside and inside. Yet it would "feel" like a new car and not a classic, I wouldn't care about putting miles on it, etc. If I restore a car, then it's still a restored car to me and I'll be all meticulous about it like I am about my 68 ... I'm not really sure how to describe the difference, but if you know where I'm coming from then you know what I mean.

www.factoryfive.com/gtmhome.html Not a Vette, but if you're building, something to consider. LS-7 power and 2500 pounds. Won't be another one in the neighborhood either.
