1976 Stingray, I just fixed my inner door handles, now i need to fix the outer! I dont see any rods for the outer handles. How to i take the outer handles out? Maybe the rods are still on it but they do nothing, the passenger side doesnt even pop back up.... How do i fix these outer handles!!!

take off the door panel and look into where the outer handle is. you should see the rods and be able to tell if they are connected. in there are two nuts to take the handle off. as for the pass side not poping back up, ive seen some slip in springs from ecklers and online stores, not sure if they work or are just junk.

I would buy new handles. There are american made and import versions. I would buy american made. This not something you want to repair twice. I replaced mine and handles work great. The insert are a waist of money.

Take the 3 screws loose on the outside back of the door to drop the door latch down. That will give you better access to the almost impossible to get to back nut that holds the outer door handle on.
