I am not lying when I say this - I saw the picture and turned my head instantly in disgust. Why the hell would anyone take a vette and destroy it with such a stupid paint job? Some people...
Q: can i ask you something? ..... what kind of damm crack was you on when you bought this car? don't bother emailing me back with some stupid answer. people like you are what kills cars like this. see you later bozo. Nov-22-07
A: A reply to tonyb2283. I purchased this car to offer it as it is as a historical item or to restore it back to original. What was I supposed to do, burn it? I was not the one who painted it. It was pretty popular at the time. It was featured in Corvette magazine. Not quite sure how I killed the car?? Thanks for the email Tony.
rayluka, the car is coming along great. My friend stopped by last night to pick up my frame, it goes to the powdercoaters today. He used to restore cars for a living back in the day - 'cudas, camaros and lots of those other cool muscle cars. He said I am doing better than a professional.
Other then the paint, which was quite common back in the day, its a pretty nice split window. Peace,,,Moosie
Change out the hood, put on some front bumpers and repaint it, that car is verrry clean. You could do alot worse with an "all original" rustbucket in boxes. /:\
10 years ago I bought a 68 L-88 Lemons blue with about the same ribbon paint job. It must have been that a lot of painters were at Woodstock & got a hold of some of the bad drugs that they were telling people about. My wife thought I was on drugs or drunk when I bought it home It did have the original engine though.
