It's been a long summer and I finally have the car stripped. The new fiberglass bumpers are on amd the car is sanded. The reason why the stripping took so long was that I had to wait for low 80 degree days on the weekends. When the temperature is higher, the stripper didn't like to work too well because it would dry too fast. I went through 3 gallons of stripper. The sanding isn't too bad. There are a few spots that will need to be filled in when it gets to the body shop plus some block sanding and primer. It should go pretty fast since he won't have alot to do. I was quoted anywhere from 5-8K for the paint job, sanding and filler.

Here are a few pictures of it so far. Let me know what you think.

Looks like you have done a thorough job.....eh, sanding ain't bad if its your own car! I would have a hard time volunteering if it was someone elses car.....I hate sanding. and sanding....and sanding....

I hate sanding too but it has to be done. I don't really want to spend $38/hour for someone else to sand when I can do it myself and I am not in a hurry to get it done.
