Painting Engine Block

Painting a 1973 engine block: What color is it? Chevy orange or Chevy orange-red. Is the water pump the same color as the engine block?

is the water neck suppose to be natural or orange? I've seen it both ways..

For 73 it should be motor color. The aluminum manifolds, 70-72 LT1s were silver in color to match the intake.

That was a replacement. Not sure the original was so corroded it had holes thru it. I opted to paint it to avoid the reoccurance
