While pulling the radiator assembly out of my '76, the shroud broke in half with little effort. It was a PITA to get free due to the bolts of the A-ARM.
Not sure if I want to go through putting it back in.
Does anyone here have a custom shroud or not run one at all?
When I cut my original shroud out the whole purpose was ease of reinstallation. Seems it happened to you by accident.
If you want it back in, just install it as two pieces again, and I doubt it will go anywhere.
I never did put mine back in. I knew I wanted to go to electric, so I just installed a set of high powered fans to cool the engine, and they have their own much easier install shroud.
I would not leave it out. You are just asking for overheating problems if you do. Due to the slanted nose (and radiator), a C3 needs a shroud worse than most cars.
