Seatbelts
Hey people, When I bought mt 73 last year it had shoulder straps installed and slots in the seats for them but the lap belts were not set up to connect to the shoulder straps, my question is were shoulder straps factory or were these after market

All 73 coupes had the shoulder belts. They were an option on the 73 convertible.
Gordon is correct regarding the seat belts not being connected as in later years. You have to manually pull down the 73 shoulder belt to connect it to the lap belt.

73s did have an option to have shoulder belts. They could be factory or aftermarket but they were available from the factory. They are not connected. There is a latch or they hook onto a pin in the buckle assembly.

Thanks guys, The lap belts that are in my car were bought in the last few years by the previous owner and do not have the pin to connect the shoulder straps.
