BB vs SB Hood

Quick question -- what's the difference in hood clearance? It's a 69.

I found a post that said it's only 3/4" more. Can anyone confirm or otherwise? Mine is supposed to come in today.

I can let you know for sure tomorrow, but 3/4" sounds right.

Have you got a small block hood?
I can measure my BB/LT-1 hood right now if that all you need otherwise I'll get both hoods tomorrow.

You want the measurement at the carb, right.

I just wanted the difference between the two. I just put a big block hood on today and had to mill my base, but everything fits now. I have retired my small block hood. It's out back. Thanks anyways.

I had the wind slam my truck door into my knee while vaccuming my truck and forgot all about this.:o

Yeah, my new air filter and base set up barely fits under the BB hood, but it does, so that's all that matters. Thanks a bunch and I say replace your truck door with fiberglass. It hurts a lot less. Ask me how I know.
