That's great work Wayne. What metering rods and springs did you go with?
It already had .065 x .047 metering rods and .104 jets in it so I just left them. It ran reasonably well before when it looked like crap so it should still run at least as well all cleaned up!

I used 50/50 Eastwood's Translucent Green and Gold to get the bronze look. Edelbrocks are normally silver, but I liked the "carby" colour so went with it.

The reason I ask is because the 1406 was set up to be very lean, as an economy carb. I have a 1406 as well, and I'm thinking about re-building it even just until I swap in the FI motor.

This is a 1407 though - 750cfm. From what I can work out, the metering rods and jets are already a couple of sizes larger than stock, so no economy here!
