Default Power window addition

Has anyone out there installed power windows in a non PW 72 C3 (or similar)?

I want to keep everything looking original using the electric window crank switches but I want to install a quality PW kit.

I'm looking for others who may have walked this path and who might offer advise.

Thanks,

Ken

My 73 was manual. All you need is the power regulators from a C3. All can be gotten of ebay or swapmeets. The bracket to hold the switches is under the console. All you have to do is cut out the plastic square for the switch. I made my own harness there is alot to be found in the salvage yards. The door panels will be left with a hole from the window crank. You could be kind of creative there. I needed new door panels any way so it worked out well

Awesome, so far so good. What I do want to avoid is the "hole in the door panel" mine are brand new.

Do you think I'd be able to utilize the factory power regulators with the crank switches and forget the console all together?

If you are saying you want to put the switches where the window crank is. Yes you can. You just have to be careful where and how you run the harness in side the door. You don't want to have any wires near any moving parts. Keep in mind if you don't go the console route. You would want a double window switch for the driver side, so you have access to the pass side widow operation. Another point the early C3 the regulator is bolted in. Later on they were pop riveted the regulator in. I don't remember what year it was started. In either case they will fit.
