floor pan, heater box question
can anyone tell me why the 72 cpe passenger side floor has an xtra cutaway where it meets the tunnel. The heater box is also smaller i havn't seen this on any other yr. anyone know reason why.

i believe that it's for clearance for automatic trans. i had the same bulge on the tunnel where the floor pan and the fire wall join. i remember seeing something in the aim in the rpo section on autos.
