75 Door Handle
The passenger door handle on my 75 Roadster is getting increasingly hard to open from the outside. The inside door handle works fine. Just wanted to see if any body knew a better fix than spraying WD40 into the handle.

Is the spring on the handle the problem? If so, they make a little clip spring that you can slip into the handle to get it to pop back up after using it. I had to replace the handle on my drivers side - what a major project that turned out to be.

First, spray the pivot points you can see with WD40 & see if that makes a difference. It's not a big job to take it out & inspect it. While it's out for $65 or so you can just replace it. No big issue either way. If you take it out, plan on replacing the outside gasket for another $3 or so.

Spray the crap out of it and see if it helps if it does then go back with a lube that will last.WD is a good cleaner and short term lube. but doesnt last very long.
