Decoding a Quadrajet...
SO was just trying to decode my old Rochester Quadrajet from the old engine which came with the car (Car is 73 but the engine when I bought it was around a 76 from what the guy thought).
Here is the numbers....170549190182
Based on this site
http://www.recarbco.com/technical/rochester/qjet.html
170 = Post 1976 and the next two digits (54) should correspond to the year but 54 is not listed. Does this mean it is probably the same year as (56) so 1976? What about the emissions numbers?
Is there a better site for this?
