so i went out with my son to go and get some taco bell and i was driving my mini and realised how good the side mirrors looked and realised that they might look really good on the vette. so what do you guys think?
The only mirrors I like on a C3, are the original mirrors(the chrome and the later sport style). Putting mirrors from a different car makes it look bad. I saw a C3 with either C5 or C6 mirrors and I about puked! Please leave the mirrors that where desgined for the C3 body style on the car!!!!!!!!!!!

What's really funny about this statement is that the C3 sport mirrors weren't designed for the C3 - GM used them on just about everything in the mid-70s to early-80s.

Putting those mirrors on a C3 is not for me. I would go with the original chrome mirrors or the optional sport mirrors, although I've seen the Aurora and C5 mirrors on them and they don't look so terrible. It's whatever you like, it's your ride and you have to be happy with the look.
I don't think they would look too bad! I have been thinking about putting some different mirrors on my car too, I haven't seen any C5/6 mirrors on a C3 yet though.....has anyone done it? I think I have seen pics of Olds Aurora and Honda Del Sol mirrors on a C3, and neither looked bad. I want to change mine because when the pivot wears out on my current new chrome set, I will have to buy a new set again, making it the third set! I have tried all the "fixes" for the chrome mirrors, and they last a while, and then they are flopping around again, and I am tired of fixing them and/or buying new ones. I thought about putting a set of later corvette sport mirrors on, but when I saw how bad a view they give, I changed my mind!

I think the olds mirrors look purdy good!
i like a lot of the things about my car but there is no way that i am building a car and keeping it all original. i like the original chrome mirrors that they had on these cars which is why i took the crappy and hard to see out of sport mirrors that someone put on my car and put some new chrome ones on. now the mirrors on my mini are similar in design with the old sport mirrors but are different. the mini mirrors are more oval and they stick out just a little more than the sport mirror which is why in my opinion they would work better on the C3 than the sport mirrors.

You right! I didn't even think about that! Anyway, I still think they fit the car well.
As for the mirrors, its your car. If you like them, go with them. Don't make decisions based on what we think. We are not the ones that see you car day in and day out..

That car is why I bought a set (actually two sets). I even retrieved one of the mirror/seat control computers so I could hook up the motors and defrosters.
Buick Rivieras are the same basic car as the Aurora, and appear to use the same mirrors. I've never seen a Riviera in a pick-n-pull, though. When I pulled my mirrors there were four Auroras.
