78 Corvette coupe Questions
Well I made another trip to see the 78 my brother is interested in. It was last registered 06 and owner claimed he drove it and runs well. It has been painted Red over white , has a dk brown cloth seats ,Was this Stock? I did get to remove the pass kick panl. and found some rust flakes, But not alot . the bolt head is still fully intact not so on my 69 which had some Bird cage rot. Has had a complete brake overhaul.recently . he could not get it started due to a dead batt. or bad starter or both. Car is fully optioned . Power everything. tilt wheel. looks like it would need at least new paint and complete interior resto. So far we have him at $4500 . I can do almost everything on the car . and can get it painted if I do the prep for 1500.00 . Also he said he has a complete exhaust sys to go with it.. Are there any other things I realy should be looking at before I make him a offer.? That I can see without lifting the car up?

Pull the header trim and A-pillar trim to see if there is any rot around the windshield.
Sounds like a good deal, but still try to knock a bit more down off of that price by dangling cash in front of him.
