Default it's getting cooooold outside.

o.k. so some of you have to put your babies up for the winter. out here in slot machine central, it just got to be driving weather a month or two ago. but it has been pretty cold in the last couple weeks with overnight lows into the 30's.
so yesterday i drove the c3 to the shop just to get it up to temperature, no such luck since the shop is only about 2.5 miles from the house. i knew i needed to actually get some heat into it so on the way home i decided to take the "long" route.
i pulled out of my shop on the main street and hammered on the throttle through first and second just in time to watch the upcoming light turn yellow. i was still about 150 yards from the intersection so i thought it would be wise to stop. now, i didn't slam on the brakes but i did apply firm pedal pressure. much to my surprise, i found myself pointing toward the curb! so i backed off the pedal waiting for it to come back around.
and i waited.
and waited.
i was almost into the intersection and rolling at about 15mph when it finally, finally straightened out.
it was just one of those things that was probably a combination of cold EMT's and cold pavement. but it felt dang near like ice, well o.k., maybe more like wet pavement. sure as hell got my attention though.

First time I owned a posi was on a 78 6.6L T/A. One day, just after a light rain, I pulled up to a T, with a blind rise to the right. well being 20 years old, I decieded it was time for a good burn'in turn! so i give it some gas and turn the wheel, well the back end likes it, and says wheeee! right through the one coming lane. full 270. I ended up with the front end pointing 20° past the T. Fun for the whole family!

I'm sorry, did you forget a "-"?

We've had one or two nights that have dipped into the -30's.

maybe when i get to be an old fogy and can't deal with a little nip in the air, i'll move to FL too. in the meantime, i like a little chill around this time of year. actually feels like it might be christmas time.

You guys think you have it cold? I went into the garage last week to degrease something and also to drain my hard air lines from my compressor. I opened up the ball valves and no air came out. I then proceeded to put a heat gun up the the ball valves and after a few seconds booooooooooom - a giant ice ball shot out I also have a bucket of gas/degreaser/soap which \i soak my parts in overnight to break down grease. I opened it up to put a part in - it was frozen solid! Gotta love these Canadian winters...not
