another newbie question
I have another "newbie" question. I have an 81 vette, and I don't know how the alarm system works. I have set it off a few times, but I'm not sure how I did it. I know the key in the door lock unlocks it, but how does one set it on?

On my 79, IIRC, just locking the doors sets it, then turning the key twice (and I believe the other way from unlocking) turns it off.

The Factory alarm system is activated by hitting the electric door lock button. To test it, leave the driver's side window down, lock and close the door. Open the door reaching inside and opening the door with the inside handle. alarm should sound. turn it off by placing key in drivers door and move to un-lock position.
I bet this guy knows what color im thinking of!!
