Default 63 speedo and tach

Just a suggestion for those of you sending mid-year gauges off for repair to protect the needles from breaking in shipping. It's always a good idea to cut out a piece of cardboard a bit bigger than the gauge face, and secure it over the face. You can hold it on with a piece of masking tape. Bubble wrap doesn't do much to protect the needles as it is so flexible.
This will help a great deal to save replacing broken needles on both speedos and tachs and small gauges sent individually.
The 68 to 77 speedos and tachs require some ingenuity as the hub of the pointer sticks out from the face. I've found the little 7 inch plastic plates used for office parties and such work well to protect the needles on these. Might save you some added expense.

PS. If the gentleman from Addison, Texas who sent me his 63 speedo and tach reads this, please contact me. There was no cantact info in the shipment and I have your gauges and no way to get in touch with you. I forgot your Corvette Forum Name.
Thanks
