I found a nice buy a 79 L82 4spd and the owner has documents all the way to the first owner. the only thing he said is wrong is the drivers side caliper is leaking and the reverse lockout on the transmission is broken. my question to yall is how hard is it to fix the reverse lockout.
If you can find a cable it's not hard. I don't know if it is being reproduced. Sometimes they show up on ebay.
The calipers you can get at Auto Zone or what ever you have local
It's a cable that attaches the the shifter on the engine side of the firewall. When I pulled my trans I found a broken cable and took awhile to figure out that's what it was. I still haven't fixed it.
