Carpet color????

Carpet color????
My 77 has trim 152, smoke grey w/leather seats. My question is what color would the carpet be? Mine has blue, but I have heard other 152 trims haveing smoke grey. Whitch one is correct?????

No easy or short answer per the Corvette Black Book. However, if you have a dark blue, white or silver exterior vette, then a suggested interior was smoke grey leather seats. The carpet is not described, but blue was another suggested interior
for these vettes. To further confuse matters,
the book also says that " other combos were possible." I suspect your combo could be ordered, especially if you have one of the above exterior colored vettes. JIM

My '76 has trim 152 and it came with gray carpet. It's a darker gray than the rest of the interior, but it matches the dash pad...

The door panels are the same blue as the rest of the carpet. The back looks like it could be original, but I know the front isn't. I was reading the other night and the book said your carpet would match the color of your seat belts. ???? My seat belts are a light grey (smoke grey?) and they look original. My goal is to get right. Inside it looks like it could have came blue, but the seat belt issue threw me a curve.

If the panel carpet is blue my guess would be that it came with blue carpet....

My black book shows only one blue in '77 too. Dark...

That's what I have found also. I'll try to get some pics posted of the carpet and interior tonight to see if anyone can idenify the carpet. My gut tells me it is not the correct carpet. Too many issues pointing in that direction, but I want to be sure and do it right.

Not sure if I did this right but I have attached a few pics of the interior and carpet HOPEING for more input. I have read that the seat belt color matches the carpet color. Has anyone else heard this? Thanks for ANY help in this quest.

You have smoke gray everything......Except CARPET! Very strange. And no other C3 cut pile color code comes close to your pics. Maybe it was dyed?

From what I have found out; front carpet was replaced by last owner. He took it to a carpet place and they installed front carpet with something that matched rear carpet.
Rear carpet trim would indicate it had not been died.
Any other thoughts? PLEASE!!!!!! Any thoughts, ideas,,,,, ???
