Non-matching engine, how much does it hurt?

From what I have seen and experienced with marketing my NOM 71 LS-5 the decrease is about 30% which is to say that if my car is worth $14,000 as is (NOM) then with the correct motor I would expect $21,000. Look around on the auto sites and specify 454 then NOM and you will see cars with similar quality interiors and bodies but motor swaps going for about 30% difference. Now, can you make a NOM car worth more than a matching car? Sure just takes money. Since the 78 is an annaversary edition, it will someday be worth more than a base model in similar condition, thats just the way it is. My .02
