Default '70 front grill attachment....

I'm trying to attach my outer grills as close to factory as possible. It seems as it the 'tabs' on the inside of my front bumper are not normal. As you can see they're missing the extension to which #6 in the second pic attaches. It appears the extensions are uncut......WTF?

It does appear that that tab was cut off. Look at p.UPC 14-A3 in the AIM which shows the tab shape, #2. You will have to fashion a L bracket (get some at Home Depot and cut to fit) to attach the inner grill bracket properly.
It also looks like your license plate bracket plate is missing.

Thats what I thought to but the edges are smooth and rounded with chrome cover...no sharp or rough edges... I guess its homebrew bracket time.

As far as the plate bracket...Ummmm, thats a Jim mod, Florida has its benifits!!!!!
