Default Will this Pan fit? (PICS)

I bought this Hamburger pan (1088) based off a recommendation from my 406 engine build post. I wanted to break this out separately because I'm simply not convinced it will fit my '77.

Does anyone have any bottom view pics showing the OEM pan clearance to the forward crossmember? Please take a look at these and let me know your thoughts. I need to get these over to the builder for assy but I don't want to find out later that it won't clear the frame.

I guess I should have also mentioned the power steering cylinder and link. Can anyone give me some clearance info between the pan & looks like it would be the cylinder for the closest point.

I think you might be ok, but just.

Based on looking at my pan, the power steering cylinder is centered just behind the front "bump" on the pan with the wheels just about straight. This is a fair bit forward of the drop in your pan. What I don't know is how much variation there is from one car to another and how far back the cylinder will move from stop to stop on turning.

With that engine, you won't be able to turn anyways, just go straight

Here's a couple of pics that may help you decide. The space between the steering and pan is about an inch, I can stick my hand between up to my knuckles.

You're obviously not concerned with the crossover pipe.

Thanks!

If you look at my 3rd pic, looks like I still may have about 1/2" or so. Does the cylinder move up or down as the steering wheel turns?

With the wheels turned all the way to the left the space between the pan and the ps cylinder shrinks to about 1/2". Measure the depth of the front part of your pan between the third and fourth bolt holes. Anything deeper than 4 1/2" may be a small problem. Ball peen hammer?

The pan measures 4-1/2" going by the drawing from jegs. Looks like I should be OK.

Also got some confirmation from 63mako & King Lear of this forum. Thanks guys, I'll be able to sleep better tonight...
