I have a 78 vette that I have been doing a frame off for several years now. The suspension is back on as is the body and engine etc, but the distance between the tires and the bottom of the fender wells is about 6" front and back. front and rear springs are original but have been powder coated. Could that change the tension of the springs or not? what am I missing?

SkunkWorks, thanks for the drawing. Am soon picking up a 78 and am needing to know the height of the door bottom to see if it will clear the trailer fender or if I'll need to roll it up on to some 2x12 blocks.
How much higher is the door bottom edge from the body? Thanks
