Front Spindle Nuts

I usually get all my hardware from my local hardware supplier- they are all grade 8 of course. What are the specs on the front spindle castle nuts - thickness (need the cotter pin holes to line up), thread size?

IMHO unless yours are dammaged I wouldn't waste the $. Those nuts are not tight at all and are held in with the cotter pin. There is no need for the grade 8 stuff there

If you really need some, the nuts from a '68 3/4-ton pickup should fit.

I don't know if a local hardware supplier will have these but I'm sure you could buy them at NAPA. The threads are 27/32, 1.25 across flats, .552 tall. The keyed washers under the nut are 1.75 OD x .875 ID x .106t, key width is .18.
