Reconnecting Tach Cable
I disconnected the tach cable on my 70 small block to get more slack inside the car to easier install the dash.
Is there any trick to hooking it back up to the distributor? If I just insert it and tighten the ring will the gears mesh properly, or is there something else I should be aware of?
How tight does the ring have to be? Access is pretty tight there.

should be easy
The cable should just slide up to the dist. and the square cable will find its way into the receiver on the dist.
If the cable is attached behind the tach then the cable should have no proble attaching under the hood.
