New to the forum here. On and 81, passenger seat... is there a way to adjust the angle of the seat back? My wife complains that it feels like it is reclined. I unbolted the back 2 bolts and put some washers in. It helped some but is there anything else I can do? Thanks, J

I took a small towel, the same color as the seat, rolled it up and put it under the back, helps a lot...............LT
There is a shim kit (washers and spacers) for 68-75's which works well on my '69, but I'm not sure if the seat backs are similar on an '81....see this link:
Don't know about 81's...but on earlier C-3's you must be carefull not to shim the seatback up too much. The seat back lock may not catch.
A 1" thick piece of aluminum stock...drilled, sanded & painted makes a great spacer between the seatback strap mount & lower seat. Seatback bumpers can now be shimmed safely to a more upright position.
That's what I did to mine, so that this "short" guy can see over the dash....

I took two pieces of heater hose (5/8), slit it on one side and snaped it over the clamshell seat. One on the seat part and one on the back part. Worked like a charm. Moved the seat-back up about an inch and now the wife will ride in the car. This is about the easiest and cheapest way to fix this problem.
