Default 1969 L88

i have been restoring vettes for years have posted C 1 corvette wanted (old race car)was contacted by a gent in pa that has supposedly an L88 vert body and frame with title no eng or trans sent pics it is yellow has L88 hood (orig gm )side pipes air cleaner plate and screen i dont really know how to tell a real L88 ,other than build sheet how could you tell a real one he wants 10,000 any input guys?

The easiest way to tell IMO is to see if it has a/c and heater delete.

To be honest, this car, even if it was a real L88, will probably never be worth the price of an L88. If there is no build sheet or other documentation, there is no proof it was really an L88. Without having the original engine with the correct vin#, even if it was truely an L88, it would be considered by the rest as an L88 clone. IMO it is not worth the extra money..

this car has heat but no ac no power anything that i can see in eng compartment comes with clear pa title and vin i will call the guy and see if he has anything from motor left or if he knows where orig motor went

it should have no heater, or radio.

It would have no radio with a block off plate. I would have power J 56 brakes.

They had to have heat. It was a federal law that in 68 and newer cars had to have a defroster to be used on the highway. The L88 cars did have the dual pin J56 calipers and power brakes plus a bunch of other things. Should have a single 3/8 fuel line.
